Ansel's Tree

The name of this piece is “Ansel’s Tree,” the reasoning for this name is because the assignment was to “mimic an artist” and the artist i chose to mimic was Mr. Ansel Adams. Upon trying to mimic Mr. Ansel’s black and white techniques i started to notice that the more contrasted and detailed a photo was the more you could really get to see the point in the shot and really reach out to your viewer. The tree i shot was the only tree on this particular ridge that seemed to grow as immense as this particular tree should’ve grown, which is impressive living off as much water and sunlight that it had.
